Concordia College is an historically Black College (HBCU), four-year, coeducational college, founded in 1922. It is a private institution of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS), where the Christian faith is taught from the Holy Scriptures and subscribed by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Its mission is educate its students in accord with the teachings of the Christian faith for lives of responsible and effective service in the church and community. To achieve its mission, Concordia engages its students in programs and activities which identify and meet their spiritual, academic, social and physical needs.
Concordia College received accreditation from the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to award the Associate of Arts and the Bachelor of Science degrees.
