The mission of VCOM is to prepare osteopathic primary care physicians to serve the rural and medically underserved areas of the Commonwealth of Virginia, North Carolina, and the Appalachian region, and to provide scientific research that will improve the health of all humans.
To achieve this mission, we seek to recruit students who are knowledgeable, compassionate, enthusiastic, altruistic and dutiful. The College administration and faculty are committed to providing a quality medical education program that values and enhances these qualities.
VCOM is located in the Corporate Research Center of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in Blacksburg, Virginia. VCOM is a collaborative partner with Virginia Tech, a relationship that promotes excellence in education and research.
