Lamar University achieved a significant milestone with the announcement of an endowment creating the university’s first named department – the JoAnne Gay Dishman Department of Nursing. The Lamar landmark was made possible by a gift from JoAnne “Judy” Gay Dishman, her husband, George Dishman, and their family.
