As I begin my time as president of Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, I have re-read the accounts of Paul and his companions going to new places to minister. Every time he entered a new town, he found friends there who could acclimate him to what was already going on in that town in the name of Jesus. He seemed to be able to find people at the synagogue or others who were introduced to him as friends.
