Rockport College provides a complete residential college experience for talented photographers, filmmakers, artists and writers. The emphasis of the program is on practical, hands-on training in the art, craft and methodology of imagemaking and storytelling within a total immersion conservatory environment, while providing a firm foundation in liberal arts.
The first year's foundation curriculum provides a basic education in writing and communication, dramatic literature and story structure, art history and visual literacy. Practical, hands-on training in craft, technology and methodology of imagemaking helps to develop each student's talent and skills as it shapes their personal and professional work. First-year students have the freedom to select courses within their field of interest: photography or film and video.
