These words from the prophet Jeremiah are etched upon the cornerstone of Sacred Heart Major Seminary. They have been our driving inspiration since 1919, when the fourth bishop of Detroit, Michael Gallagher, founded Sacred Heart as a minor seminary. In 1988, when it added a Graduate School of Theology to its College of Liberal Arts.
