The Andrews University Division of Architecture is an NAAB-accredited program located in southwest Michigan.
The organization and extent of the curriculum is centered around the principles of traditional urban design, contextualism, and social responsibility within the profession. Design studios place particular emphasis on these principles, and students are challenged to base design decisions on thoughtful, rational criteria. In most studios, students are required to realize at least a portion of their designs in model form.
The graduate design studio focuses on traditional urban design, including an entire semester dedicated to the proposal of community redesign.
