Bluegrass Community and Technical College provides a unique educational experience. With its career-oriented technical curricula, transferable prebaccalaureate curricula, economic and workforce development programs, and lifelong learning opportunities, BCTC plays a key role in Central Kentucky's academic and economic success.
Bluegrass Community and Technical College was created in 2005 as the result of the consolidation of Lexington Community College and Central Kentucky Technical College. The college is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. BCTC offers two-year associate degrees, diplomas and certificates. Our mission is to provide excellence in education and training at an affordable cost to anyone who has the desire to work toward success. Through technology, innovation and teaching excellence, we are committed to providing a total college experience for our students, both inside and outside the classroom. Classes at BCTC are small, on average about 24 students. Small classes help create more intimate learning environments, where teachers and students can interact on a more personal level.
