Adler School of Professional Psychology The Adler School of Professional Psychology is an institution of higher education committed to advancing the philosophy and principles of Alfred Adler within the context of professional psychological practice.

To this end, the School’s mission is to provide quality professional education, psychological services, community services, and research and publications, anticipating and responding to the constant and changing needs of students, the profession of psychology, the community, and society.

The Adler School of Professional Psychology is the oldest free standing school of psychology in the country, and the only school in the world offering a Psy.D with Adler’s Individual Psychology as its educational orientation.

What is Individual Psychology? Individual Psychology is a holistic approach to treating the individual within the context of his or her environment and focuses on goals and purposes of human behavior. An Adlerian approach is one that values equality, respect for the individual, intellectual rigor, justice and compassion.
