Allen College is a quality, private multi-purpose college for nursing and other allied health professions. The college campus is located in the mid-sized city of Waterloo in northeast Iowa. Allen College was established in 1989 and its development is traced back to the formation of the Allen Memorial Hospital Nurses Training School in 1925. Based on Allen Health System's 80 years history of excellence in health education, Allen College currently offers academic programs in nursing and radiography. Allen College has developed unique joint ventures with the University of Northern Iowa (Cedar Falls, Iowa) and Wartburg College (Waverly, Iowa) for general education instruction. The strengths of the clinical learning components offered by Allen College are then able to be combined with the academic excellence of UNI and Wartburg so that the educational experience is maximized for students.
Allen College offers Associate of Science in Radiography, Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing programs.
