Ohio College Of Podiatric Medicine Podiatric Medicine is the branch of medicine, which medically and surgically manages care of the lower extremity. The podiatric physician is a health professional who is involved with examination, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of foot disorders by physical, medical, and surgical means.

A wide range of opportunities are open to the podiatric medical practitioner today. Many communities are in critical need of the skills, techniques, and knowledge which a podiatrist can contribute to the team approach of providing comprehensive health care.

The Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine is situated on a 4.5 acre site which provides state-of-the-art facilities for quality education, research, and patient care. In addition, the Cleveland Foot and Ankle Clinic and local satellite clinics, all operated by the College, provide a solid base for clinical education while providing excellent podiatric care to the community.

The College utilizes the following affiliated hospitals as part of its educational program: Huron Road Hospital, Richmond Heights General Hospital, Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital, Hillcrest Hospital, the Veteran Affairs Medical Center and Suburban Community Hospital. In addition to these institutions, 45 hospitals and more than 300 private practitioners nationwide provide externship training to OCPM students.
